Most Frequently Asked Questions

You can manage any number of student records, including attendance, course of studies, and report cards. In addition, any variety of records can be uploaded electronically for each student. For example: PE logs, your school enrollment forms, immunization records, student photos, and any other electronic document you wish.  You are not limited in the amount of records that can be uploaded.

Student and Academy records are confidential and private information.  EdPort takes this seriously.  All student and Academy data is encrypted (including any uploaded records, photos or documents) with an authenticated key encryption.

Only teachers and admins can access student records.

In addition, EdPort creates daily backups of all data.

Finally, a teacher or administrator can create and download a cumulative record/transcript of all student records at any time if needed.

Getting started with EdPort is fast and easy:

  1. You register for an account here.
  2. Setup your Academy in the Academy Info settings.
  3. Invite your Teachers to the Academy with their name and email.
  4. Teachers will add their students.
  5. Teachers can then add all the records for their students.

Yes. EdPort has been tested on multiple platforms for smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktops.

EdPort works on a subscription plan, based on the number of students in an Academy.  You can see the pricing here.  The Academy purchases the subscription; the teachers do not pay for anything.

No. You can continue to add new families at any time during the school year.

Yes – however, you will need to register for both an admin and teacher account.  This is done simply by signing up as an admin with one email address and as a teacher with a different email address.  You can for example, assign each spouse a specific role in the school portal.

You still only pay one subscription.

As long as you have an account with EdPort, we keep all data from all school years.  You can keep records of students from the time they enter Pre-K all the way through their high school graduation!

If you ever choose to leave EdPort, the Admin or Teachers can download a complete record for all students to save digitally.

You can convert your paper records to an electronic format and upload them to EdPort by choosing “Upload Record” next to each student’s name.

If you are on a laptop or desktop computer, you will need to scan the document first, then upload it.

If you are on a mobile device like an Android or iPhone, you can simply take a photo with your camera after you’ve chosen the “Upload Record” feature.

Yes, you can register your homeschool group, satellite school, co-op or Academy with EdPort at any time!

 As an admin, you have the ability to set your school’s customized start and end dates.
